Candidates are to choose a total of seven schools — five main options and two alternatives. The Ministry of Education has introduced a structured approach to ensure fairness and prevent congestion in high-demand schools.

- Must include at least 3 boarding schools
- Must include at least 2 day schools
- Can include:
- A maximum of one Category A school
- A maximum of two Category B schools
🔹 Alternative Schools (2)

- These serve as backup choices if a student isn’t placed in their top 5
⚙️ TVET & STEM Track
Candidates interested in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs can make separate choices under those tracks:
- Choose five institutions across Categories A, B, and C
- Can be day or boarding schools
- Ideal for students with career goals in engineering, technology, healthcare, and skilled trades

Parents must be actively involved in the selection process. The Ministry requires:
- A signed form by the parent or guardian
- No teacher or headteacher should fill out the form without parental consent
- Parents are advised to keep a copy of the completed form
