British singer Ed Sheeran recently shared a hilarious story about the time he smoked marijuana with rapper Snoop Dogg and temporarily lost his vision.
In a TikTok video posted on April 24, 2025, Sheeran is seen sitting next to Snoop Dogg, who appears to be rolling a blunt. Sheeran watches in awe, munching on chips, and captioned the video: “Last time I smoked with Snoop I lost the ability to see.”
The incident occurred during a visit to Melbourne, Australia, where Sheeran attended a Snoop Dogg concert with his wife and mother-in-law. Actor Russell Crowe, a mutual friend, introduced Sheeran to Snoop backstage. Despite not being a regular smoker, Sheeran felt compelled to join in.
“I don’t really smoke at all,” Sheeran admitted during an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s podcast. “I was in the dressing room, and they’re just [smoking] blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt.” After taking a few hits, Sheeran realized he was in over his head. “I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now.’” 
Fans have been amused by Sheeran’s confession, with many sharing their own experiences of getting too high. The story has gone viral on social media, with users joking about the strength of Snoop Dogg’s weed.
While Sheeran’s experience may have been intense, it seems he took it in stride. “I’d be disappointed if [Snoop] wasn’t high,” he said.
This isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg’s smoking habits have made headlines. The rapper is known for his love of marijuana and has even claimed to smoke up to 81 blunts a day. However, in November 2023, Snoop announced that he was “giving up smoke,” which turned out to be a marketing stunt for a smokeless stove company.
As for Sheeran, it seems he’s content to leave the heavy smoking to the professionals.
